Last week was the busiest I have ever been since I decided to dive into this blooming world of sustainable fashion full time. Earth day coincided nicely with Fashion Revolution week and living in New York City, there was no shortage of events that I could attend. I met and listened to some of the most inspiring businesswomen, journalists, bloggers, and citizen advocates (is there a better term?) like myself who were all eager to be the positive change that we wanted to see in this world.
I was educated, connected and most of all reminded that I am not alone in this journey. I want to continue this dialogue and keep this momentum going. How was your fashion revolution week? How did it make you feel? How did you interact with others? How can we (not part of Fashion Revolution – but as sustainable fashion enthusiast) improve for next year? How can we do this better?
Please share your thoughts/feelings on the comment section. Are you in New York City? Let’s grab a coffee!
In this spirit, I will soon upload an awesome talk by Andrea Reyes, a chairwoman of New York Fair Trade Coalition, who spoke at last week’s sustainable fashion event at Eileen Fisher. Stay tuned!
